Wholesale Explanation

This is a DEPOSIT for a whole animal. If you are looking for wild game or mobile kill truck services please call 208-477-1865. Note: the entire balance will be due by CASH or CHECK at time of pickup.

How it works

After you have selected your preferred cut and animal portion from the cut menu, you will purchase a deposit through the normal online checkout system. We will send you an email confirming the next available harvesting date for the animal you selected.

From the time that your deposit has been placed until you receive your meat is on average 30-45* days. This includes Fulfilling a whole animal, Harvesting, Dry Aging, Cutting, Packaging, Freezing, Final Delivery/Pick-up. We will call or send you an email once your portion is ready for pick-up. This call/email will inform you of 1) The final hang weight of the animal, 2) How much your remaining balance is, 3) The day that you may arrive to pick-up your animal.

Notes

  • Cuts are individually packaged and vacuum sealed.
  • Animals are scheduled to harvest the first week of every month. Your harvest date will be pushed back to the next month if a full animal is unable to be fulfilled.
  • The Corner Butcher Shop calculates all costs based off the hang weight of an animal. This is measured after harvest and evisceration. See animal description for average weights.
  • For questions regarding pricing, delivery, or custom cut sheets please contact us before placing a deposit.

DISCLAIMERS

  • Deposit is not refundable.
  • Customer is responsible for picking up their meat.  Delivery of wholesale animals possible upon request only, additional charges will apply.
  • Any animal not picked up within 30 days from notice of ready for pick up becomes property of The Corner Butcher Shop.

Terminology

  • On the hoof - Living Weight before harvest.
  • Hanging - Weight of animal carcass after harvest and evisceration.
  • Finished - Take home weight after dry aging and butchering.
  • Remaining balance = Hang weight * Your portion * Cut Menu Price Per LB - Deposit
